Spinning is for Suckas

I tried spinning once and I DID NOT LOVE IT!  I don't even like walking on a treadmill, so riding a fake bike going nowhere on top speed, with a teacher yelling at me and loud music blaring in the background was not for me.

I know people who love spinning and swear by it.  My friend Erin gets up early on Saturday mornings to get her spin on, and my sister Maci tried it once and has been hooked.  More power to them.

Last week, the stalkers were going crazy in the house (fighting, yelling, acting a fool) and I decided to take them on a bike ride.  My husband left the trailer connected to the bike, so I stuffed the stalkers in the back, strapped them in, and prepared to ride around the block.  After the first five minutes, they were silently enjoying the ride.Within ten minutes they were holding hands and humming Amazing Grace.  Within fifteen minutes I was getting comfortable, picking up speed, and enjoying the scenery and quiet time.

Our ride around the block lasted two hours.  It was a win win for everyone involved.  The kids got fresh air, Momma got some exercise and we all enjoyed the nature within our neighborhood and some time alone with our thoughts.

At the end of my bike ride,  I had the same results as a spinning class:
- I was hot and sweaty
- My clothes smelled like old cheese
-Sweat was dripping down my crack
-I ended the ride wearing a thong ( even though I am quite certain I started the ride with bikini briefs)
-I was stuck with a wedgie that would take at least 30 min for me to extract

Jackpot for me!  You suckas can keep your spinning class.  I am doing just fine with my real bike full of stalkers.

Do you love it? I do!
