This past weekend the Hubs and I watched Hall Pass. It's a funny
movie about two married men who get a hall pass from marriage and get
to spend a week doing WHATEVER they want.
Of course the guys have all these plans about all these amazing women
they are going to get and all this wild partying that's going to go
down. It's pretty raunchy adult humor, but it's really funny. Even
funnier because as a married couple with responsibilities, we can
totally relate.

I don't need a break from marriage, or a chance to party
like a rockstar, just a break from responsibilities. The Hubs travels
frequently, so he even though he is working, he still gets a break.
Although I am very blessed to be able to be with my kids all day, it
is important to take a break from a 24-7 job where I live and work.
Here is my proposed plan
- 48 hours away from home in a hotel
- No calls/texts from the Hubs asking me where we keep the
washcloths or what to feed the kids
- No Stalkers allowed
- Taking a shower and bath without a little creeper walking in on me
-Room service, books, movies, TLC & Lifetime
-Friday night - dinner, movie, shopping alone
- Saturday- sleeping in/spa
-Sat night (babysitter for kids at home), Hubs joins me for an evening out
- Sunday- sleep, read my book all day, gym, back home that night
I love my kids and I love my husband, but a weekend free from responsibilities would be a welcomed treat.
The Hubs would have his own uninterrupted weekend which he can fill
with unlimited rounds of golf, ESPN, Golf Channel, his iPhone, time at
the gym or basketball court, and whatever else he finds relaxing.
The only difference between our weekends would be that I may come back home
to a mess that would take me another 48 hours to get reorganized.
Y'all know the house doesn't run correctly without momma there!
Do you love it? I cant wait to!

What would your hall pass look like?
Just like yours + get a massage every day
ReplyDeleteOR
I would go on a 2 day sailing trip..
O yes, I may even pretend like I'm a celebrity and get massages in the room! A two day sailing trip sounds awesome! I would do a two day yoga retreat if I could.
ReplyDeleteAwesomeness!
ReplyDeleteWe've discussed this a number of time but the execution is lacking. I'm going to make it happen....SOON!
