Who needs OB appointments and scales? I've got random strangers to help.

Who needs  OB appointments and scales?  I've got random strangers to help.

I've clearly been  wasting my money on expensive insurance copays, time at my monthly doctor appointments, and time fretting over the scale.

I have strangers in my community to help.  Random people at Target, Home Depot, Subway, and Meijer have been doing the same job as my OB for free and in a fraction of the time.

I know I'm gaining weight and getting large when people jump out of my way, hold open doors, and cross the street to avoid me in case I decide to give birth right there on the sidewalk.

Who needs a doctor to calculate my due date or perform an ultrasound to tell me the gender of my baby?  I've got people commenting that I'm carrying low, high,  only from the front, it must be a girl, and it's definitely a boy.   My due date?  Forget what the doctor says, according to the woman in Home Depot, I must be ready to pop  tomorrow,  and some grandma at Target guessed I was about 5 months along.

I even get  free medical advice.  The cashier at Whole Foods gave me some voodoo-type advice regarding  what will help with constipation and leg cramps.  I can't even recall some of the other well meaning fake advice I've been given over the months.

Nine months ago, had I known all these people in my community were actually part time OBGYNs moonlighting as cashiers, shoppers, and strangers on the sidewalk, I sure could have saved  a lot of time and money with my prenatal care.

Do You Love It?
I'm glad so many other people do.
