My sister Amy came to visit for the week and she brought along the greatest present ever, her stalker who is the same exact age as my stalker. I will call her (my niece) Niece Stalker.
The thing about cousins is that they share a bond as close as sisters, without all the hair pulling, fighting and general dislike for each other that sisters can have. They also are family and can be disciplined (or spanked) by either auntie or mommy. Cousins are the ultimate play date.
It was an awesome visit. Niece Stalker and Stalker #1 played for hours and entertained each other while Amy and I watched tv and let Baby Stalker run amuck. The two girls played all over the house and required very little supervision. They did everything together from sunrise to sunset. Sure the noise level went up about three levels, and I have permanent hearing loss from all the (happy) screaming, but it was nice. Amy and I got to have a break from having to entertain our Stalkers 24-7 and got to catch up.
I had a good time showing Amy and Niece Stalker around the city, with planned kids' activities every day. Also included were daily nap times so I could introduce Amy to The Ultimate Merger and Babies Behind Bars, and catch up on Basketball Wives.
Six years ago, When Amy and I were both pregnant with our girls, I envisioned them as BFFs playing together and having each others backs. I was nice to see my vision come true.
All we need next time is for my sister Maci and her Stalker Doug to join the party.
Two girl Stalkers, two baby boy Stalkers, and three sisters. Now that's a party! Can't wait for it!
Do you love it ? I did!
